Course overview
The ethos of the course is a professional combination of both clinical and self-development disciplines, empowering you to appreciate your own and your future clients’ mind, body and spirit connection.
You will receive a thorough grounding in both disciplines, and learn the significant impact this dual approach has, along with the various techniques and methods which have been used successfully with thousands of clients. The training you receive in hypnotherapy processes far exceeds that of most basic and many advanced courses.
We teach you three styles of working with clients:
Firstly, and most time is given to this, the Structured Approach. As novice hypnotherapists embarking on a professional career where you hope to facilitate positive changes in paying clients, it is essential that you have a tried and tested framework that has proved successful for the majority of Costa’s thousands of clients, as well as for those of our graduates. Our Session Notes and templates give you the confidence you need to be able to feel competent and professional from Day One.
Secondly, we teach you the Ericksonian approach which enables you to utilise whatever the client brings, to take them into trance and facilitate the changes they are looking for. This conversational, subtle and powerful approach, the “Milton Model” as it has come to be known, is named after the father of modern hypnosis, Milton Erickson.
Thirdly, the mind-blowing magic of the Rossi technique which has to be seen to be believed and allows the subconscious to make all the changes with minimal involvement from the client or the therapist! This is named after Ernest Rossi, Erickson's friend and colleague, and one of the greatest living hypnotherapist, in Costa's opinion (now sadly deceased).
Costa says, “I am so grateful to have had the opportunity so early in my career in the 1990s to receive training from “the gentle giant of Hypnotherapy” on his rare visits to the UK.” (Ernest Lawrence Rossi, 26th March 1933 - 19th September 2020)
In addition to the above, we invite you to explore how the focus or consciousness of a therapist can bypass a client's negative mindset and almost guarantee a positive outcome, regardless of whatever techniques are being used. This is Costa's "therapy with consciousness".
All students are expected to graduate with absolute confidence and self-belief in their skills and abilities to make a positive impact on the quality of life of others as a professional Hypnotherapist. You will also find that as you enjoy learning hypnotherapy, you will be taking positive steps on your own path of self-development.
This course is very much demonstration and practice-orientated, and students can expect to receive some home study in order to reinforce their learning, and also to increase their confidence in working with clients.
The course content has been approved and accredited by the Training sub-committee of the Hypnotherapy Association, the largest independent organisation for practising hypnotherapists in the UK with over 400 members. Graduates of the AHH Academy will be eligible for membership of the International Hypnotherapy Association and of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
It is now 22 years since our comprehensive Diploma Course was, and continues to be, accredited by the Hypnotherapy Association (now International Hypnotherapy Association) – your guarantee, assurance and peace of mind that the AHH Advanced Hypnotherapy training course is one of the best in the UK.
Once graduated, you will still have access to both trainers via phone and email, and be invited to regular "Super Vision" meetings held approximately every three months.
